Automating a batch PDF Build

Hi
I was woundering if anyone has any infomation on automating the 'Create a PDF from Multiple files' that are open including sorting of the pages. The main issue the files are loaded into the build list box in alphabetical order not in the order they were open.
I'm using VB6 and Acrobat7.0 so any infomation would be most helpful as i don't have a clue where to start
