Hi All,

last week I received a pdf from my customer which has a link in every page that would take us to the table of contents page. it is a 500 page document. Please explain me to create such a link in every page so that the user can go the table of content page by clicking on it.
We type documents in MS word and insert the TOC. Then this document is converted to pdf by using Acrobat professional 9.0. The TOC will have the links to the headings.
But I do not know to insert a link in very page, which by click will take us to the TOC. Currently to return to the TOC in pdf, we remember the page number and go to the page.

Please help me inserting the link in every page.
Do we need to purchase new software for it?
Currently we are using Acrobat professional 9.0.

thanks

Dear araanandv2;

Please see the file below. I think it's what you want. If it's right I will explain how it works.
there is a button on the left-top of each page (after 28th page) that opens the table of contents section.

here are the basics: create a button (tools> advanced editing> button); set properties (tooltip [general tab], appearance, label [options tab], and actions); select acton "go to page view"; click add; click set link. in "actons" window edit page target and zoom level ("inherit zoom" is good choice); click close; with select object tool re-position button as desired; right click on button and select "duplicate". do this with a practice (copy) file.
