Background colour Acrobat reader 9

I recently downloaded AR9. i designed a business card with a black background and when saved the whole background of AR9 is black instead of grey. This is obviously the default. I try to change background colour by going to edit/preferences/full screen/full screen appearance and changing the colour there to white.....but it didnt change. Any ideas?

It sounds as though your Accessibility preferences have been changed. Try checking under Edit --> Preferences --> Accessibility
Try unchecking "Replace Document Colors".
