I'm a fairly new user of Acrobat Pro 9. I've been using bookmarks in PDF files and today I accidentally closed the bookmark panel that normally shows on the left side of the document. I don't know how to get it back. I'm also now having difficulties creating new bookmarks. I opened a document I created a couple of months ago where I set the properties to automatically show the bookmarks upon opening the document, but they don't show in that PDF either.

It seems like I have inadvertantly changed a setting in Acrobat, but I have no idea where to start looking.

What do I need to do to get my bookmark options back?

Thanks!
Melissa

Have you looked at all of the options under the "View" option on the menu bar when in an open PDF?

You may have to dig deep.

If you can't see the pane at all, right-click on the viewport (the dark gray area outside the page) and choose "Show navigation pane buttons" from the menu.

When I right clicked I noticed a 'reset panels' option that corrected everything for me. Thanks for all the help!

Hi,

I don't have the Bookmark menu voice in the Navigation Pane, but only for one .pdf document, do you know why?
How can I check or activate it. I have the 9.4.1 Adobe Reader version.
Many thanks for your answers.
