Hi,

I have a list of bookmarks that when clicked open to another PDF file. When the new PDF is opened (within the same window), the bookmark panel jumps back to the top. Is there a way to maintain the position of the bookmark panel? For example, if I have 300 bookmarks and I'm on position 225, it stays within that area and doesn't jump back to the first bookmark.

Thanks!

Hi --

I am not sure what you are describing here. You said the bookmark panel jumps to the top - do you mean it jumps to the top of the list? I think that might be what you are referring to.

If so, you can't make it stay where you want overtly. However - if you build a bookmark hierarchy, and have the bookmarks nested in a couple of layers, as long as the rest of the structure is closed (aside from where you're working) it should behave. The key is to have the structure fill one program window when it's collapsed, and you shouldn' t have the big scrolling problem with one section open.

I have a main index for about 300 PDFs. It opens up to a title page with the bookmarks showing. The bookmarks are links to the other PDFs and all documents have the same bookmarks. What I'm trying to figure out is that if I click on a PDF (say I'm at the bottom of the list and click on bookmark 275), when that PDF document opens, the bookmark panel then scrolls back down to that same area where bookmark 275 is located.
