Bookmarks with unique names

Greetings,

I have several hundred multi-page PDF files that need to be bookmarked. My question is how can I automate a bookmark naming process, all the bookmarks require unique names. Can I utilize excel or another application and import the names?

Any ideas would be appreciated!

In addition:
The reason for my question is when I utilize “New Bookmarks from Structure” Acrobat somehow knows to pick up the page folio and first line(s) of text from each page then enter this information into each bookmark description.
