My Uncle wants to get hold of a copy of Adobe Acrobat Pro V9, which he thinks will help him with his job.
He can use computers, but is not particularly "computer savvy", so he rang me to ask me what I thought of him "buying a copy of Acrobat from the USA" (he lives in the UK).
Looking on amazon.co.uk, for example, I see that Acrobat Pro V9 is going for the impressive sum of £385.97, around $550. However, when I type "acrobat 9" into google, various sites appear claiming that they sell the same version of Acrobat for $89 or $96.
It is difficult to believe that the copies for these prices are legitimate. However, there must be somewhere that sells Acrobat for less than Adobe themselves, who apparently charge UK customers £727 (well over $1000) for Acrobat 9 Pro Extended.
My Uncle has made it clear that his copy of Acrobat MUST be fully legal.
Given the above, can anybody offer any advice as to where my Uncle should buy Acrobat from?
