Can not save a downloaded pdf document

I downloaded a pdf document from my bank, opened it in Reader 10.1 on my Mac, but when I tried to "Save as" a pdf document, I got the following error message: "The document could not be saved. There was a problem reading this document (110)"

Any idea what the problem could be, and how to solve it?

My Product Information:
Reader 10.1, Macintosh

citygalsf,

Adobe Reader doesn't allow anyone to Save PDFs, unless that feature is enabled by the author of the form (your bank). You should have a copy of the PDF that you downloaded in your downloads folder, if you'd like to hold on to that for archival purposes.

If you purchase the FULL version of Acrobat (Standard or Professional) you will be able to Save (as long as the bank didn't include extra security in the document).

Thank you for the response, Kelly. This may be the case, but I save downloaded pdf documents in Reader all the time. This is the first time I've encountered this problem. The document I was trying to save was my monthly statement, not a form.

I will contact the bank, since it may be a problem in the way they created this particular statement.

Have you tried to use the link to do a "Save target as"?

You might want to try a later time or from a different computer or connection. There could be a transmission issue.

Good point George.

CityGal, you can Right-click on link that goes to the PDF (or Ctrl-Click on the Mac if you don't have a 2 button mouse) and choose Save Target As (then navigate to a folder). Instead of just clicking the link to view the PDF. I know I've done this a lot with my B of A online statements.
