Cannot add Properties in Preflight Profile

I've created a custom Preflight Profile that checks a PDF for any image masks. After selecting 'Masks' for the custom profile, I clicked on 'Custom checks' and scrolled about halfway down the list to select 'Image Masks'. I then added that to the list of 'Custom checks in this profile'. I then clicked on the 'Edit Checks' button at the bottom, and here is where the problems began.

I then selected 'Image' from the Group list and began adding various Properties from the subsequent list on the right. Although the new Properties showed up below, the OK button is constantly grayed out - I can only click CANCEL. Does anybody know what I'm doing wrong?

My Product Information:
Acrobat Pro 9.1.1, Windows

One more thing to note: in the bottom left corner of the screen is a padlock icon that says in grayed out letters: 'This check is locked (all profiles that reference it are locked)'. I guess this is why I can't save any changes to it, but where do I unlock it? And if it's locked, why do they make it appear that you can edit it by adding Properties?

Hi,
Looking at the list of all available custom checks "image mask" is one of those that is locked by default.
So, while it can be added to a profile, it can not have additional editing.
A "by design" thing I guess.

Thanks, Dave. That's what I figured - I just think it's not such a bright idea on Adobe's part to put all sorts of editing capabilities for certain Properties such as this one at our fingertips, but not let us change them! I don't get it. Oh well.

Hi SeattleUser -

You can't reconfigure an existing check used by various existing profiles. When you first select Image masks from the custom checks and add it to the "Custom checks in this profile" list, it's the existing check.

In order to modify it for your own use, click the "Duplicate check and assign to this profile" button below the list [it's the pair of overlapping squares second from the left].

You'll see a custom check named "Image masks (Copy 1) show in the list. Delete the original, and now you'll be able to add whatever customizations you want. Be sure to save it with a unique name.
