Close Browser Window

I've looked through some of the Adobe JavaScript reference info, but have not found a method that will allow me to Close the Browser Window using a command button within the PDF of that window. The closest I've gotten was the app.executeMenuItem("Close")...but that is not allowed to run from an internal window (my PDF is the internal window to the browser). It did work when viewing the pdf in Acrobat Reader, but that's not how my web app presents the PDFs.
 
Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated.

_IF_ the user has Acrobat 7.0.5 on Windows or later AND is viewing the PDF in Internet Explorer 6.x or later - THEN there is a solution via "bridged JavaScript".
