Compare Documents

Hi I wonder if anyone can help,
we are using the acrobat compare documents feature in version 9.
We are finding that sometimes it will show areas have changed when we are certain there have been no alterations in these areas - is this a fault in the software?

Has anyone else experienced this issue?

thanks

Spike

Can you give an example? The compare tool can find pixel level differences.

an example would be where I have an artwork in Adobe Illustrator and I create a pdf of this, I then make a change to some text/copy and create a second pdf.
I am creating the pdfs by making a postscript and the distilling on standard settings. The postscripts are out off illustrator with simulate overprints / medium resolution.
When I compare these 2 pdfs against each other, it highlights that the copy has changed, which is as expected, but it will also highlight areas which have not changed?

thanks
