I have MS Word which has an object file is created. Normally, within Word, when it is double-click the object, it will be opened assoicating with an application. However, when I convert this Word document to PDF, I cannot double-click the object file. The PDF does not create an object link for the file. Is there a way to do it?

My Product Information:
Acrobat Pro 8, Windows

First, PDF is not Word. Word, and it's MS Office brethren, are very free and easy with insecure connections to all kinds of other software on the system, which is why there are so many problems with malicious software today.

Acrobat on the other hand, is a platform independent and very secure program. It's gotta work on any OS and you can't just connect to, or launch anything from a document with an unknown source. In fact, for the most part, this kind of functionality simply does not exist in Acrobat.

If your object is MS specific then it is very likely not supported by the PDF Specification. It's converted to harmless text and graphics when your doc file is converted to PDF.
