The problem i have is that i need to convert, requardless of adobe version ( highter than 5), pdfs saving them as version 5. is there a way to convert these files (300+) with a batch file.

Although not recommended, you could try printing back to a PostScript file and dropping them in a Distiller Watched folder to re-distill as an earlier version. You should be able to automate the printing process.
With Acrobat 9.X or Acrobat X Pro Preflights and Optimizer are available for this sort of task.
