Converting PDF document to Excel spreadsheet

Can any one help me in extracting data from a PDF document into a Excel speradsheet for data manipilation?

I believe the OCR program Omnipage 16 will do what you want.

If you have Adobe Professional (I have 7 and don't know if what I'm about to tell is in the earlier versions), you won't need OmniPage. Professional will OCR a scanned document (you won't need to OCR if the PDF was created directly from Excel or Word). All you have to do is highlight the table in the PDF file, right click and choose the Copy to Clipboard, Copy as Table, Save as Table, or Open Table in a Spreadsheet. This works very well in a short document. The only drawback is you can only do one page at a time, but it does work very well.

However, OmniPage has a PDF Converter that runs about $50 - haven't used it, don't know how well it works. But, if you don't mind spending $80 or so, you can go to www. soliddocuments . com and purchase a really nice converted package for PDF files.
