I would like to know if there is an Adobe product (software program) that will allow me to convert drawings in PDF format to dwg (autocad) format. Thankyou.

Some pdf files can be opened in adobe illustrator and then re-saved as dwg files. I've done it before, however, most of the times I need to do some cleaning before re-saving due to strange boxes that appear on top of the drawings that can only be seen in "outline mode" in illustrator.

Keep in mind though that if the drawing you want to convert as dwg was placed in the document as an image before saving as pdf, it will open in illustrator as an image not as an actual vector drawing like you may want and there is nothing you can do about that. If the drawing was a vector drawing before making the pdf, it will open as a vector in illustrator and you can even modified it from there, like change its color, etc.

Hope that helps you.

The drawing was a vector drawing before converting it to pdf and when I opened it in Adobe Illustrator , I was not able to "save as" in dwg since dwg is not listed and therefore was not able to convert it back to dwg to be modified. Any other suggestions are welcome. Thankyou.

You can do this with Vector Snapshots in A9 Pro Extended as detailed in the following blog Vector Snapshots - Pointing the Way.
