Converting PDF to TIFF yields pages with different resolutions.

When I convert a two-page pdf file to a tiff file the two pages of tiff files are at different resolutions. For example the first page is at 96 pixels/in and the second page is at 200 pixels/in. The method I use is to select "Save As" then select "TIFF" from the file types. This didn't use to happen.

When you do the Save as TIFF in Acrobat, there is a "Settings" button in the dialog box. What do you have your Conversion Resolution set at?

I'd never bothered with the "Settings" button before, but after your post I checked and the "Color Space" & "Resolution" were both set at "Determine Automatically". I further noticed that I can choose the resolution I want - 72,96, 150, etc. So you have answered my question. Thank you! Just wondering though, why would the "Determine Automatically" option would choose two different resolutions from the same document? What is it looking at when it chooses a resolution? Again, thanks.

It's very likely that the images in your document were different to begin with, which is why they exported at different resolutions. The second had to have more data (higher dpi) in order for it to export at a higher resolution.
