ust a doubt about acrobat.

In my PC acrobat proffesional is available.

I need to convert pdf document in word document. The steps that I have followed are:

1-edit file

2-save as

3-save as microsoft document word. doc

The problem is that when the document word 2007 is generated, a lot of text box appears. All the text is distributed into box and is very difficult to rewrite in the documents because the text boxes are moved.

Could be possible that using word 2007 I could not get a word document without text boxes?

I would be very grateful if anybody could give me a solution.

Thank you

Acrobat exports to Word respecting how the data is stored within the PDF file - many PDFs that have been created without structured content (tags) break all their text, images etc. into lots of positioned pieces, which can help make the file smaller. Acrobat does not understand that these pieces still look like one block of text to a human, so it does not know how to re-assemble the content.

Thank you for your kind reply.

The thing is that using the same pdf if I extract from pdf to word 2003 the resulting document is ok, well structurated, including images ect
But if I do the same, I mean, I extrant contend from the same PDF to word 2007 then texto boxes appears in all the document...and I do not know why and how to solve.

If you have any idea, please let me know.
Again thank you

Hi Doris,
Are you trying to export to MS Word *.docx?
It is not a supported "Export" or "Save As" file format.

With a PDF open in Acrobat -
Select File > Export > Word Document (or File > Save As)Now, in the "Save As" dialog, at the bottom, observe the "Save as type:" drop-down menu.
Looking over the choices of file formats you will not see *.docx on the list.

fwiw -
LiveCycle ES2 provides the ability to convert PDF to the MS Office XML formats (.docx, .xlsx, etc.)

Quote:
In ES2, LiveCycle PDF Generator ES is capable of converting Microsoft Office 2007 XML formats such as .docx, .xlsx, and .pptx to the PDF format on Linux (Red Hat as well as Novell SUSE) using OpenOffice 3.1 However, an additional configuration step is required.
For reference; see, Javan Kandathil's blog article

An alternative when using Acrobat (as LiveCycle ES2 is expensive):
Try going from PDF to DOC then try DOC to DOCX.
