copy pdf graphic file to clipboard

Here is the setup: I have an ACCESS db from which I produce a report in MS WORD. I also have a table of graphic images in PDF. I can successfuly transport the text to the WORD report using MS Automation techniques. However, I cannot transfer the PDF graphics. I only have Acrobat 8.1 to work with and I am using MS VBA to do my coding. Can anyone pleas tell me how to copy the clipboard? It is straight forward to paste the graphic into the report. Help!!
