Creating PDFs from Wordperfect 10 files

I'm trying to create PDFs from Wordperfect 10 files, and can do so from Wordperfect, but unfortunately some of the formatting is lost (some underlined words are NOT underlined, for example). I currently have Acrobat 9 Standard, which appears to not have .wpd files as an option to convert from. Do any of the later versions of Acrobat offer this as a feature, or is there a way to accurately convert legacy versions of Wordperfect? Switching to a newer word processor, unfortunately, isn't an option at this point. Any help would be appreciated.

As you noted, the WPD format is not an Acrobat support format.
.
Until the more recent releases of WordPerfect Corel used an internally designed process for PDF output (other than the traditional File > Print to the Adobe Printer if Acrobat is installed).
.
For the more recent releases it is my understanding that Corel utilizes a Nuance designed process.
.
Consequently, any issues with output of a PDF more fully featured than the simple PDF "printed" by Adobe Printer fall under the purview of the older Corel designed feature or the more current Nuance designed feature rather than and Acrobat/PDFMaker issue.
.
Either the WordPerfect community sites or the Corel sponsored support areas may have useful information related to the issue you are facing.
.

Be well...

Thanks for the help. I think my supervisor is coming around to the idea of upgrading our word processing software. I did check the Corel site and discovered there is no longer ANY support for Wordperfect 10. I'm further concerned that at some point the PDF versions we can publish will no longer be compatible with Adobe Reader (WP gives the options for saving for Acrobat 3.0 or 4.0). Is this a valid concern, or will future versions of Adobe Reader still render older PDFs in the same way (as created by WP). Thanks again for your help.
