Creating single or limited-use PDFs?

Hi all,

My company is currently trying to publish a periodical online in PDF format. However, these periodicals or reports are usually value-added and it costs clients to purchase these reports. My boss wishes to know whether it would be possible to actually create PDF's that limit the amount of times the report could be viewed or limit the number of computers that can view the PDF.

Leaving aside the question of whether this is wise or not, is it actually possible for this to be done? I don't think it can, but I would appreciate it if someone could clarify this for me.

If it needs specialised software, what software in particular?
