If I print a document from, say, MS Publisher, is there a way to specify the initial view - "page layout" and "magnification" setting?

At the moment I'm having to print to the "Adobe PDF printer" and then open the newly created PDF and adjust the properties so that I can control the page layout and magnification setting for when the recipient opens it!!!

Is there a way to specify these settings when printing the document?

Hi Steve,

While Adobe's applications, such as FrameMaker - Distiller, provide integration that supports designating the page an output PDF will open on and the Zoom (magnification) as well as other features; MicroSoft has not configured its Office applications to provide/support such integration. Consequently, the setup you desire will (as you state) have to be performed with Acrobat (in the Initial View tab of the Documnent Properties dialog).

Unfortunate but understandable in context of MicroSoft being, in many regards, a competitor software house.

Hi all,

The process using the epilogue.ps works great. The only thing which is not working is the "Page Layout" setting. All my PDFs are created using "Single Page Continuous". I have
[code][ /PageMode /UseNone /Page 1 /View [/Fit ] /DOCVIEW pdfmark[/code]
in my epilogue.ps and the "Magnification" is set to "Fit Page" as expected. But i didn't found a setting for "Page Layout". After googling I found the following:
[code][ {Catalog} << /PageLayout /SinglePage >> /PUT pdfmark[/code]
But this is not working as expected.
