Customize Compare Notes

While the compare feature works well, I need to change the format of the resulting notes added to changes.
E.g. Currently if there is a change, the resulting note is something like:
[Old text]: "Client"
[New text]: "Users"
The following text attributes were changed:
size

I need it to say simply:
Changed from: "Client"

Is there a way to customize the output by menu or JavaScript?
