Digital Signatures on Approval Form

Group, I have been assigned to create a fillable pdf for use as an approval form for an IT project. I have not had any training in adobe, but do have Acrobat 9 with LifeCycle. I am researching the product now. Can you help me with one basic question? How many digital signatures can be included on one form? I will need to collect signatures from various levels of authority starting at the technical release level then to the business release level, going up to the branch chief and then to the IT program manager. So, there's 4 signatures. Of course, I want to ensure that only the correct people will sign the document. This would be a form in which the mgrs would use to record that they approved documentation deliverables they have reviewed. The form would come to them once I distribute them to the first signer. That person would sign it and save it and send it on to the next signer and then that person would sign and save and close and that person would do the same and then send it back to me. Can anyone help me with this? I just need some basic direction and I will take it from there. Thanks. Will appreciate any help.

Digital signatures are implemented as a type of form field. You are free to add as many as are required.

I have same question and + I wanted to the following:
When Employee completes the form and signs it digitally he clicks a button and form goes to his supervisors inbox.
This one opens the pdf, checks and signes it as well. then clicks the button and it goes to the next approval.
Next approval signs the form and clicks the button to send it back to employee.

I used multiple e-mail submit buttons, which apparently does not work. Is there another way to do this???

Thanks in advance

I have multiple signature fields on my form with only titles ranging from lowest on the authority level to highest. The Release Manager starts the form - signs and sends to his manager. She signs and sends to her manager. The final approver sends back to Release Manager. Then, the Release Manager sends signed form to me with entire approval package documents.

(After signer signs, a "save as" dialog box prompts the signer to save. Once saved, the signer forwards the email on to next signer.)

It is not a controlled form in terms hierarchy, etc. This is how my supervisor requested it to be - just a general form.

I would look into the use of seed values to do this:
http://help.adobe.com/en_US/acrobat/pro/using/WS9EC772A6-59E7-45b2-B7CB-E898B5AE9947.php

Seed values allow you to specify which choices signers can make when signing a document.

Acrobat 9.4.5 Standard - Generated form not accepting digital signatures in Reader.

I'm running Acrobat 9.4.5 Standard in closed network envronment utilizing internal authentication on Common Access Cards for digital IDs/signatures. Every form I have generate within this environment will not allow the user to digitally sign it. Within Acrobat I can digitally sign it but even after setting the "Extend Forms Fill-in & Save" option a Adobe Reader (either v9 & X) will not be able to sign it.Appreciate the help.
