Document Properties > Initial View > Bookmark Panel & Page -- Setting does not always stick

I created a PDF from Scanner; added some bookmarks, changed the Initial View from "Page Only" to "Bookmark Panel & Page"; and save the document. I then closed the document and re-opened the file, the initial view is Page Only.

I thought I somehow made a mistake. So I reset it again and save the file. Save the file and re-open the file. The initial view is still Page Only. Sometimes the setting sticks; but mostly the setting doesn't stick.

Why? What am I doing wrong? What is the trick to make the change always stick???

TIA

Hi Trial_User20,

I remember this being asked a while ago. I'm not sure why Acrobat behaves this way and it is probably a bug, but check your Acrobat Preferences under the Documents category and see if the check box for Restore Last View Settings When Reopening Documents is checked. If it is uncheck it.

Hope this helps,

Dimitri

Thanks for the response; but that box is NOT checked.
