Hello,

I am having an issue with emailed documents, even if they are saved to the desktop, opeining up and hiding the toolbars in Adobe 8.0 Standard. Our email client is Lotus Notes, and it just started happening recently. I reimaged his computer, renamed the adobe folders under Local Settings and Application Data, all to no avail. Hitting F8 puts them back, and I already unchecked the option to allow documents to hide toolbars. I thought it was also because said documents were opeining in Reading mode, but cannot see a way to turn that off.

My Product Information:
Acrobat Standard 8.1.2, Windows

Also, I went into File> Properties, and made sure all of the checkboxes for hide toolbars and the like were turned off... they already were.

Try Repairing your Acrobat installation (under the Help menu).

Maybe the forms are using a JS that hides the toolbars on opening.
If so, the settings of the file properties do not have any effect.

I use this method for example, to ensure the users use only the buttons I created within the form and not from the toolbars.
