Editing out (or removing) a reoccuring scan line from a pdf document

Hello and thank you for your consideration of my question. I am using Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro.

Situation: I have received a pdf file which appears to have been generated by an all-in-one scanner/fax machine. It has an annoying vertical line on every page (the kind you see on a fax coming from a bad machine).

Question: Is there a way to remove the line?

Thanks,

You can use the redaction tool to mark the entire area and then apply the redaction, thereby removing the line.

Thanks for your reply. I did consider redaction; however, the line I want to remove runs through text and a form. I thought there might be an advanced function that would recognize the vertical line and remove it.
