We publish a biweekly Real Estate magazine in print and online versions, [link=http://www.REpictorial.com.]www.REpictorial.com.[/link] I convert high resolution printer's pdfs to low-res pdfs for online use. I know how to make URLs "live" so readers can click through to the Realtor's websites, but don't know how to make e-mail addresses "live" so readers can click on the page to send e-mails to the Realtors.

The Advanced -> Document Processing -> Create Links from URLs command in Acrobat Pro 8 will add weblinks to email addresses (info [at] yoursite [dot] com).

We send out a quarterly Alert with a back page that contains contact information for the readers. Our email address format has changed to

firstname [dot] lastname [at] company [dot] comThis now no longer works as a hyperlink leading to a new email window nor does it recognize the firstname in the email address. I believe it is due to the period between the first name and the last name. Any help solving this problem would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

If the link is placed, on the PDF, after the PDF was made then use the link tool to insert a "web link" and
use "mailto:your [dot] name [at] example [dot] com". A button field with the web link action would work too.If you insert the link into the authoring file before you output the PDF, in the Hyperlink (for Office applications)
you again enter "mailto:your [dot] name [at] example [dot] com".If "firstname [dot] lastname [at] example [dot] com" is part of the text content of an output PDF then if Acrobat's Create Links from URLs is used,
Acrobat will create a "mailto:firstname [dot] lastname [at] example [dot] com" for each occurrance of "firstname [dot] lastname [at] example [dot] com".The URL scheme "mailto:" is needed. With it, "firstname.lastname" works fine.
