Embedding a Search Index

Hi,
 
Is there a way to embed an index (.pdx) into a PDF file (not an index of the current file). Basically, I have a navigation one-page PDF that links to 50 other PDFs (about 100 pages each) and I want the user to be able to press Search and have the default search be searching this index which has indexed the 50 other PDFs.
 
Also, is there a way for the "Bookmarks" pane to show other PDF files or bookmarks in other files instead of just bookmarks of the current open file?

You can add an index file to a PDF under the File --> Properties --> Advanced tab. When the PDF is searched with the Search PDF window, all of the PDFs that are indexed by the specified PDX file are also searched.Bookmarks can perform many functions other than navigating within the current open file. This is done through the Actions tab in the Bookmark properties. Ted Padova has a tutorial that walks through many of these steps at:
