Error in Retrieving a PDF from a Website

Hi! I get an Acrobat message box with a question mark (?) in it, with no text explanation, when I try to retrieve a pdf document from a website. To get out of the box, you click OK within the Acrobat message box, but there is no description of the error or error code or number.

Acrobat Pro 9.0, Windows

Do you have your file types for .pdf associated with Acrobat?
