I am a newbee

have been having trouble converting a PDF I created, by scanning a document, and exporting it to Word

the problem is that Acrobat "converts" the file to one big image and I need a Word file that I can edit

thank you

The PDF is just that a scanned image of text and no text. If you want the text of the image, you will have to preform an Optical Character Recognition, OCR, of the PDF. There are requirements for the quality of the image and type of fonts used to be able to OCR the image. IF you can process the image, you will either have the text or hidden text and an image from which you can export the text to an RTF but you will lose all formatting.
