Hi,

Please excuse my ignorance but very new to acrobat. Use Adobe Acrobat 9 and I have scanned and created pdf files from a print document and indexed the files. Can I export to the filed to XML files and get at the metadata and if so what metadata does it hold, will I see the indexing. And can I export to CSV or will I have to run OCR text recognition on the pdf files to get to CSV file?

thanks,
Tracy.

Did you look at the SaveAs "file type" options?

To save the metadata

1. Open the Document Properties dialog
2. Select the "Description" tab
3. Click on the "Additional Metadata..." button
4. Select the "Advanced" pane
This displays the entire XMP metadata for the PDF
5. Click on "Save..." button

As a first step, search this site for "Acrobat X Actions". Watch the videos and read the tutorials.
