I am attempting to extract tables from a very long pdf document. Each page contains a separate table, and I need to compile them in a comma delimited type file in order to run statistical analyses on the data. Any idea how to extract multiple tables from a pdf in one fell swoop?
There is a new feature in Acrobat 8 that allows you to select a table using the Select text tool and then right mouse click and then Open Table in Spreadsheet.
At this point you can then manipulate the tables in Excel, where compilation is much easlier.
