Extracting Pages--WHY? For What purpose?

For all practical purposes, I am brand new to PDFs other than reading them.

I now have 7.0 Professional and my question concerns "extracting pages." I have downloaded/converted some Internet pages to PDFs on my hard drive. Now, why would I want to "extract pages?" What is the purpose for "extracting pages" once a PDF is downloaded to the hard drive from an Internet website?

Thank you.

Hi Gordon....

Well, there could be several purposes...I've extracted pages for the following reasons...

1. Have made a PDF from some other document and don't need certain pages in a final PDF that will be posted online.

2. Want to repurpose a PDF for some other use....for instance, extracted pages to make a free-standing summary PDF.

3. Have downloaded a PDF and don't need certain pages in what I want to save.

Hope this gives you some idea.....

carrimak...

Acrobat is probably the program I use most often and I'm learning more every day.
