Fast Web View

I am currently using Adobe Acrobat Pro v9.3.2 and my preferences have been set in the Document category for "Save As Optimizes for Fast Web View" (check box has been checked).

When I create a pdf and look the document properties, Fast Web View = Yes. As soon as I make any changes to the file and save, the Fast Web View has changed to No, I must do another File/Save As to enable this option again.

I work in an area that is still considered "rural" and many that visit our website are on dial-up (believe it or not!).

Doing a Save/As is such a pain...why does Fast Web View turn off with a save?

My Product Information:
Acrobat Pro 9.3.1, Windows

You should look at your applications 'Preferences' and set the 'Documents' 'Save Settings' option for the 'Save as optimized for Fast Web View'.

As I stated in my original post...Edit/Preferences/Documents/Save Settings are set to Save as Optimized for Fast Web View is checked...
When the pdf is first created Fast Web View is enabled...as soon as any change is made (i.e., add English as language) if a "save" is done Fast Web View is now disabled...must do a File/Save As...
This did not happen in Version 8.X...wonder if it is a bug in 9?

Hi lsiliacci,

Actually, with Acrobat 5.x (Full), 6.x (Pro), 7.x (Pro), 8.x (Pro) 8.x 3D, and 9.x Pro Extended after any change to a PDF that I just "Save", I have always observed the default behavior of the PDF saved having Fast Web View equal to "No" in the Description tab of the PDF's Properties dialog.

Only when a "Save As" is performed on the PDF does it get processed for (along with a phletora of other "clean up" actions) Fast Web View.

Be well...
