I'm running OSX 10.5.5 and Acrobat Pro 8.
When trying to distill a .ps file from Quark 6.5 I get the following:

Quark (pre-v8) is known for being a little wobbly about PS exports, and we know that certain things can trigger a font error. If the document uses registration marks and there's anything hinky about your Courier font, it'll fall over. If there's a font inside an EPS with broken embedding it can be missed by the export phase - and sometimes OPI commands can interfere with the PS structure, so turn OPI off. It can also help to force Distiller to use installed fonts instead of embedding them in the PS - in your case if your setup is correct Quark and Distiller *should* be looking at the same things, but if that causes a new error it shows where at least part of the problem is.
Oh, and make sure you've upgraded to the 6.52 patch of Quark, as that fixed some bugs with exporting.
