Font Sizes in text boxes and callouts

I have been going crazy trying to figure out how to change the font type and size in my text boxes and callout boxes. The defaule font is too big for very small items and too small for very large items. I don't want to think that Adobe left this feature out of version 10.

Did you look under Edit - Preferences - Commenting ?
In earlier versions it was possible to set the font size of comments there.

I tried both. Edit-Preferences-Commenting does not seem to applied to text already in the document. Ctrl+E does bring up a properties box but only for fill, border and border thickness, NOT font or font size. No luck changing the font size.

Bill,

With Acrobat X Pro -
Place a Text Box or Callout using the Tools pane's Drawing Markup selection.
Enter text in the annotation's "box".
Click out elsewhere on the PDF page.
Center the mouse cursor over the annotation box.
Single click - focus is on the "box".
Double click - focus moves into the box. A blinking, vertical cursor line displays.
Highlight the text that is in the annotation's box.
Use Ctrl+E.
The "Text Box Text Properties" dialog appears.
The options available are the same as those found in Acrobat 9.

Be well...

select (highlight) any text within the text box with the select text tool (V) or the hand tool (H) and click crtl+e; this will activate the 'text box text properties' toolbar. (V and H are single key accelerators)keep trying. you'll get it.

daka630,

That worked. I really appreciate your help. It seems that, in earlier versions, the properties box appeared automatically. I have been using Acrobat for quite some time now and haven't run into this issue before with the earlier versions. In fact, I use text boxes and callouts quite extensively and haven't had this issue until I started using Acrobat-10.

Thanks again and have a very Happy New Year!

The ^e has long been a "well hidden feature" of Adobe's. I thought they would add it to the toolbar in Pro X.
Does anyone know a way to anchor it to the toolbar?
