Footnotes supported in v.9 or v.8?

Are footnotes supported in v.9 of Acrobat Professional? How about v.8?

My client is using v.8 and when he converts a Word document containing

footnotes (document size is 20mg in size), and clicks on a footnote in the

pdf document, the wrong information opens up.

Is there a way to fix this using v.8 or do we need to upgrade?

We are using Microsoft Office Office 2000 sp3 and Windows XP Pro 2002

sp2

Hi --

Yes, footnotes are definitely supported in both acro8 and 9. You said the client opens a footnote and the wrong information displays. Can you give a specific example?

I don't have a specific example. My client told me when he clicked on the footnote (in the pdf file) the wrong information would come up. It sounds like information from anotherfootnote is displayed.

Unfortunately I don't have Acrobat Pro v.8 installed on my PC yet to test it.

Are there some instructions on this forum that I can offer my client so that he can verify if he has taken the correct steps?

Thank You
