Sometimes I receive pdf files that need my signature. I typically have to print the file, sign it, scan it then email it back. I know that Windows 7, which is what i have, has handwriting recognition. I plan on using a Wacom tablet but they dont know what i need to sign PDF files. any advice?

My Product Information:
Acrobat Standard 9.3, Windows

Hi ptsolutions,

This blog post is for a Topaz digital signature pad but the same methodology may work for your Wacom tablet if they have a plugin for Acrobat-

Alertnatively you can create a custom stamp of your signature. The same blog shows step by step instructions for how to create one-

Hope this helps,

the basics: scan the signature in an imaging editing app (say, photoshop elements), crop the signature image to a rectangle and save to PDF (mysignature.pdf). open mysignature.pdf; select and copy the rectantle using the 'touch up object' tool; open the target document and execute a paste; with 'touch up object' tool re-position and adjust size of the signature rectangle as may be needed.
