When I use the "highlighting" feature in Acrobat (Professional 6.0.6) -- the e-version of a yellow highlighter -- it sometimes "leaks" onto other pages. E.g., I successfully highlight a passage on one page, only to see on the following 2 pages a series of yellow spots making identical messes. Worse, these spots actually *cover* (rather than highlight) the text in the pdf document. I've found only one way to get rid of these messes: highlight an area covering each one, then choose Undo. But what a hassle! How do I prevent this from happening in the first place?
It's possible that this has something to do with the PDF document you are trying to highlight. Was this document OCRed or created in another tool besides Acrobat (check File --> Properties) for the PDF Producer under the Description tab? Also, I would try using the highlight tool on another document such as the PDF manual located in the Acrobat 6 help folder. Do you experience the same difficulties?
