"history" remains empty

Hi PatB,

Sounds as though your Preferences may have gotten corrupt. You can try re-creating them. Note: Custom settings for Collaboration, JavaScripts, Organizer, Security, Stamps, Color Management, Auto Fill, Web Capture and Updater will be affected by using this solution.

To re-create the Acrobat Preferences folder:
1. Quit Acrobat.
2. In Windows Explorer, go to Documents and Settings\ [username] \Application Data Adobe\Acrobat\7.0 folder and move the Preferences folder to another location (for example, C:\Temp).
3. Start Acrobat. Acrobat creates a new Preferences folder.

Thanks for your answer Lori. In fact, I had more or less done what you suggested: I move the old history file, to create a new one, and that solved the problem.

I use Acrobat pro 7.0 (version 7.1.0), history remains empty,I have remove the Preferences folder, but the problem remains.

What Operating System are you running Acrobat on?

Also, do you have a setting in Acrobat 7 under Edit > Preferences > Documents to "Remember files in Organizer History for:" and then there is a pulldown menu? If so, make sure this set for a given timeframe.

Hi Lori, OS: Windows XP, Acrobat Pro 7.1.0.
I setup "Remember files in Organizer History for:" to 30 days, the history remains empty yet.

Do you use Windows roaming profiles or re-directs on your folders at all?
If not, have you tried doing a Repair of your Acrobat installation? This command can be found under the Help menu.
