How to batch save attachments as separate files

Does anyone know how I can run a batch to save all the PDF attachments I have as separate files?

I have a folder with 1500+ pdf files (scholarly papers), most of which have TXT attachments, which are my personal notes on those papers. I want to export all these TXT file attachments into a folder so that I can run Dragon Naturally Speaking on them (this performs a textual analysis to understand my vocabulary and so on, so that DNS can do my dictation more accurately).

I can't see a batch option to accomplish this. I thought perhaps this might be accomplished via a Javascript, but I am a Java newbie and would need advice on that. Many thanks!

Thom Parker has a tutorial on Importing and Exporting PDF File Attachments that also includes a sample file that you might find useful for doing this. There are a few security issues to be aware of as well since you're exporting .txt files and not PDFs, which is explained in the tutorial as well.
