Hello,
I need to translate medical blood test results from French to English.
The numerical values remain as they are, so all I need to do is to change the name of the blood test (on the left hand side of the page) from one language to another.
What I do is create a text box with a white background that covers the current name of the blood test and type the English term in the text box.
Since I need to translate many results pages with the same layout, is there any way to create a template of my text boxes that I can then overlay onto each new page?
Is this possible in Adobe Acrobat X pro?
Thank you for your help.
There are a number of ways you could approach this issue. Probably the simplest is to make an image of the layout in English. You'd need to use a program like Photoshop, Photoshop Elements, Fireworks, etc. If all the text is in a single column, you could use a JPEG image. If, as I suspect, you're looking at multiple columns with text in different locations, then I'd suggest a PNG format. Make sure the areas where you have the replacement text have a solid background to cover up the underlying text, and make sure the areas that show the values are transparent.
Save the file at 100% size. In Acrobat, you could paste the image over the page, or use it as a watermark overlaying the other content on the page.
