How do I change defaults for advanced options when embedding videos in Acrobat X?

I have Acrobat X Pro, and need to embed multiple videos in multiple PDF docs (I need to do this up to 1,000 times!).

Each video needs the same settings, and I have to go into the advanced options menu every time, and alter the Launch settings (both enable and disable when page is opened or closed) and then into the Controls settings to alter the skin to None.

This is incredibly frustrating, time consuming and is giving me muscle cramps! I bought this expensive product for this purpose and find it hard to believe you can't alter the default settings!

However, I can't find any way of re-setting the defaults. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks!

You can't, unless you were to write a custom plugin. The Rich Media tools in Acrobat were never designed for bulk processing, and there is no scripting or Preflight access to the preferences of an existing Rich Media annotation, nor to the defaults for the dialog box.

You can send a feature request, but we can't say which requests may be adopted. Something like that wouldn't happen in the current product cycle.

Thanks for your quick answer, Dave. I don't have the skills to write my own plug-in, as I'm developing materials for a not-for-profit educational project to help literacy for school kids. I'll just have to slog away manually and take the pain-killers!
