How do I find the font?

I want to edit some pdfs that a client wants to use, but he wants to replace some of the text with his own.

Problem is, I don't have the font (according to Acrobat 9), and it isn't telling me which one I need either.

Also, the paragraphs are justified, and if I edit the text, the line won't be long enough.

How do you get other lines in a paragraph to wrap and remain justified?

Thank you!

appreciate the response, but this still does not tell me WHICH font to install. The pdf file does not contain any information regarding the font name. Does it?

Hi peaceland,

If you have access to Acrobat 9 Pro here is a short article on how to identify fonts in a PDF-
http://blog.gilbertconsulting.com/2009/10/how-to-identify-font-in-pdf.php

Your product info says you have Acrobat Standard though, so I think the best you can do is get a listing of the fonts used in the PDF under File -> Properties menu. Then you'll have to look up the fonts listed there (Google search) and try to find a match by eye.Hop ethis helps,

Not being an authoring application Acrobat does not lend itself to control/editing of format and layout. Touchup, yes; serious edits, no. Trying to use Acrobat as a word processor can often result in undesirable changes to PDF page content; such as undesired repagination, etc.

Playing with Acrobat tools such as redaction with a white background and the typewriter tool
could let you slick selected lines and replace the space with new text. Problem is, you often lack the 'seamless' look of a PDF created from an authoring application.
