Hyperlink in a PDF does not open in a new window

Hello All, I'm new to this group, so pardon me if I did not see this question answered.

I have a PDF created from Excel that we have on our website. It lists items we have in a clearance list.

There is an icon in the PDF that links to an online chat program.

We want to force the link to open in a new window. That way the customer can still see the list of available items.

I've tried a number of modifications to the link, but so far no go.

Any suggestions? I'd like this to be embedded in the PDF.

Thanks in Advance!

Have you looked at using the Acrobat JavaScript "launchURL()" method?
