Is there any way of keeping a hyperlink active when I've PDF'd an Excel document?
It works fine if I type out the whole link
http://www.blahblah...

But if I have some text in a cell and make the text a hyperlink it gets lost when I create a PDF

My Product Information:
Acrobat Standard 8.0, Windows

Are you using the Adobe PDF toolbar in Excel to create the PDF? Have you confirmed that the "Add link" checkbox is selected in the Change Conversion Settings menu?
What version of Excel are you using? Just to clarify, are you selecting a cell (with existing text) in Excel and then creating hyperlink to a whole link (i.e., www.adobe.com)?

I may be misinterpreting the sense of your post; however, you ought to be able to output a PDF from Excel with both the text and the link.
The screenshoots and a link to the output PDF with the text/link are below. This particular output PDF comes from Excel in Office 2000 and Acrobat 8 3D on an XP box. Duplicated it on Excel in Office 2007 and Acrobat 8 Professional on a VISTA box. ~hth
