My OS is Windows 98; IE6; MS Office 2003; Acrobat Standard 7. My problem is that hyperlinks in my pdfs do not work consistently - sometimes they will open, sometimes they will not. They all work perfectly in Word. What is the workaround, please?

My Product Information:
Acrobat Standard 7.0.0, Windows

Check the MS Word document used to create the PDF. Inspect all URLs in the doc to make sure each has a hyperlink created in Word and also check the spelling of the URL. Convert the doc into a PDF and check the links.

Gene, I have done all that several times over. I have recreated all the links as well, just in case. But still the same thing happens in all five documents I have created so far (I have 350 more, so I would love to resolve this problem). The links are to internal documents on our website, and to other sites on our company intranet. They are all correct! Do please let me know what else you can suggest. Thanks.

Have you reviewed the comments added by Ikassuba?

If the internal PDFs open OK there might be an issue with the security settings on the company intranet. I suggest contacting the company intranet administrator to see if he/she can resolve the issue if this is the case.

Are all your links to HTTP or HTTPS locations? Are the ones that don't work to UNC path names such as (\\servername\folder). If so, you'll need to change them to HTTP or HTTPS.
