I continue to have this issue and the responses seem to be as if I am using fonts. All fonts have been converted to curves in CorelDraw Xtreme. So font is not the issue.

Q: I am having the same issue as this following except I am on Windows based unit. All fonts have been converted to curves, but the i and l still appear bolded.

Q: W have Acrobat 7 Pro (MAC). Our pdfs are previewing with bolded letters, uppercase "i", lower case "L", when we open the files in Adobe Reader (all versions - WINDOWS) but the file prints correctly. We receive complaints from our customers over this issue. Please help us figure out how to avoid this issue.

A:Apparently there is a font problem. Be sure to check the file for font embedding and make sure all fonts can be and are embedded in the document. If you have fonts that can't be embedded, you may need to change the font to one that can be embedded.

If all the fonts are embedded you should see no difference when opening the file on any platform in any viewer.

A:Try this. In Control Panel, click Add & Remove Programs, click your version of Acrobat, select Repair or modify installation. Let Windows repair your installation of Acrobat. Open Acrobat and select Edit, Preference, click New Document. Look at the Default font name. Make sure the Default Font is the same as the one used to create the document. Also make sure the font used is not licensed. If it is, you need to use an unlicensed font. Follow the recommendations provided by Ted.

What you're saying soulds very unlikely. If indeed the fonts have been converted to curves, there's no way the font attributes can be changed during PDF creation. Perhaps some anomaly exists with the conversion, but I would first try to verify that all fonts have been converted to curves in Corel. If you have verified this, then try to change the font, convert to curves and see if the file is properly created. If so, then quite possibly you can't use the font that's giving you the problem.
