I have Adobe Reader 9 on my computer. I also have a HP Photosmart C4680 print/scan/copy printer. I need to scan documents into a PDF file so that I can transmit them. It seems that the "Windows Fax and Scan" program that I have on my computer does not support downloading into a PDF file. It supports jpeg files as it is designed for photographs, but I haven't found out how to switch it into a PDF file. With the Adobe Reader 9 can I accomplish downloading into a PDF file? I'm a seasoned citizen and haven't grown up with computers, so my understanding of much of this is at a minimum...can you help me?

No. The free Reader can't create new PDF files. You need Acrobat for that (the Standard version will do).
