Image Deletion

Hello. Using Adobe Acrobat 8 Standard. I'm trying to delete an image from a PDF document. I do not have access to the source document -- only the PDF document.

When I select the image using the snapshot tool, and then right-click, I have choices to copy or save only -- not cut or delete the image. If I use the TouchUp Text tool, the tool seems to select all words around the image I'm trying to delete -- but not the image itself.

It appears to be protected, however before I tried to delete the image, I was able to copy it and resize it elsewhere on the page, where I prefer to have the image (logo).

How in the world do I delete this image?

Thanks for your help. I searched through the forum and read some of the results, but nothing addressed this issue -- other than to use the TouchUp tool, which isn't working for me.

Hi Michael,

I don't have Acrobat 8 Standard installed and can't remember if this is available in Standard, but if it is try the TouchUp Object tool instead of the TouchUp Text tool to delelte the image.

Hope this helps,

Dimitri

Dimitri,

Would this tool be in the same menu as the TouchUp Text tool?

"Tools --> Advanced Editing --> TouchUp Text Tool" is the path I'm taking to get to the TouchUp Text feature. However, there is no TouchUp Object tool.

I have an Object Data Tool, which so far has proved useless, as one of my "toolbars," even though it's just one button.

Thanks for your help.

Michael
